Solution
Let x be one number & x + 1 be another number (since both are consecutive numbers).
So the equation is

 x + (x+1) = 423

 2x + 1 = 423

 2x =423 -1

 2x = 422

 x = 211
Therefore, the numbers are 211 & 212.
